Happy New Year

The 1st of January has come and gone. It’s scary how the year can really fly by. Here’s an old song that I’ve liked since those days when I was a tiny tot just singing along when my dad has this song played in his car.

Hello 2013

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t make any new year resolutions because I simply know that I won’t be able to keep them all. 2012 has been a year with frustrations especially the beginning of the year when I was battling the knee injuries. Yes, for a while, I blamed myself for training too hard. I did question myself at one time, is this the price to pay to become fitter? But I’ve given this mess to God and believe that He will work His restoration magic and this mess will become a masterpiece in the end.

Romans 8:28

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Moment By Moment

I spent my new year’s eve at home, sleeping early. I was out in the morning to terminate my gym membership. Went out in the later part of the afternoon to get a pair of shoes I could wear without hurting my knees. I was feeling really tired and sore as I had slept on one side for too long. Slept on another bed because it was softer and easier for me to turn at night without putting much stress on my legs. Stayed home this morning. I think I won’t be going to church for a while. Not because I don’t want to, but it’s not as accessible and I didn’t want to stress my knees even further. No wild parties. Never attended any before anyways.

Just as I was about to doze off, I received an SMS from my best friend who sent me a New Year greeting. It was very long, but very encouraging. No major event at night. Slept before 10pm and didn’t even wait for the countdown. Instead, I was awaken by the sounds of the fireworks.  This morning, I spent some time just singing praise and worship songs. Before anything else,… I offer my life to Him.
