I decided to go to the hills this morning in order to escape the crowd. I sometimes find the need to escape the city when there are things to think about and problems related to work. It gives me peace and sometimes looking at the city from the hilltop gives one a different perspective. Some things that are big, appear small when you’re up there naturally.
I also met an interesting Japanese man who hiked up the hill. He started talking to me when I was having tea at Bellevue Hotel. We talked about culture and food and I learned a little about the Japanese culture. By the time I left Bellevue, it was noon. But I felt better after that alone time which I much needed.
